At the current development stage Total Engineer is a CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) system having some basic CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and simulation functionalities.<\/p>\n

Design functions are mainly accessible using API and the integrated Script Editor<\/em>. Simulation is available after tool path computation and it targets at visual verification of the computation results.<\/p>\n

For a quick demonstration of CAM functionalities open the file Sample_3AxisDrilling.xml<\/em> (the file can be found in the examples<\/em> directory of TE installation). The file contains a single CNC drilling operation. To simulate the movements of the tool, please select CNC Operation<\/em> in Process Plan Explorer. <\/em>Next right-click on this operation and choose Simulate<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Simulator<\/em> window pops up. Using this window the simulation can be controlled and so it is possible for the user to see how the tool moves along the computed path.<\/p>\n
